Chelsea’s historic treble-winning season earns two of the Blues a spot in the PFA WSL Team of the Year for 2024/25. Erin Cuthbert is named for the second season in a row – her third in total - after her dominant displays in the middle of the park. She’s joined by teammate and captain Millie Bright who once again showcased her consistency in the centre of Sonia Bompastor’s defence.
It was a hugely successful season for Arsenal, who claimed their second Champions League title. The Gunners have four players named in the top 11 by our members. Captain Kim Little is included in the list. She led her team to triumph in Lisbon and appeared 36 times for Arsenal in all competitions.
She’s joined on the list by Spain’s Mariona Caldentey, who had an impressive season in front of goal, scoring 19 goals in all competitions. Golden boot winner Alessia Russo is also named after an influential season, leading the scoring chart with 12 league goals. Defender Emily Fox rounds off the Arsenal contingent after an excellent first full campaign in the WSL.
Phallon Tullis-Joyce is named for the first time in the PFA WSL Team of the Year. The Manchester United goalkeeper recorded 13 clean sheets to take home the golden glove. Teammate Maya Le Tissier had a dominant campaign in defence, and she appears in the team for the second time in her career. Jayde Riviere completes the United representation after a standout season at right back for Marc Skinner’s team.
On the other side of Manchester, Yui Hasegawa’s inclusion sees her named for the third time. She appeared in every league game for the sky blues, her composed displays in midfield being recognised by our members once again. Australian Mary Fowler rounds up the list as the 22-year-old enjoyed her most fruitful season to date, recording six league goals.
