Academy Player Guidance
Every academy player will join the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) once they sign their scholarship contract with a Premier League or English Football League club. Though academy players do not fall under the PFA’s remit, we believe it’s important that young players understand who we are and what we do, from the very beginning of their football journey.
We offer young players and their families independent advice about trialling, registration and academy processes so you’re fully prepared for the commitments your family are making and what they will involve.
Young players can also take advantage of our exclusive learning platforms. These are designed to help them overcome the challenges that come with academy football, and prepare them for life as a professional player.
