Notts County have three players in the PFA League Two Team of the Year for the 2024/25 campaign. The strike partnership of David McGoldrick and Alassana Jatta produced an impressive 39 goals combined in all competitions. 37-year-old McGoldrick netted 17 times and finds his name in a PFA Team of the Year for the second time in his career. Jatta is listed after his most influential season to date, recording 19 goals in 32 appearances.
Teammate George Abbott marshalled the Notts midfield and takes his place in the team after the 19-year-old made 40 appearances for the Magpies in his debut EFL season.
Luke Molyneux is the sole representative for league champions Doncaster Rovers. The winger had 31 goal involvements, including 18 goals and 13 assists which helped his team towards promotion.
Bradford City took the third automatic promotion spot, and they have midfielder Brad Halliday in the top 11. The midfielder’s leadership took the Bantams back to the third tier after a six-year exodus.
Owen Goodman takes his place between the sticks. The goalkeeper, on-loan from Crystal Palace, played every minute in the league for AFC Wimbledon, keeping 21 clean sheets to claim the golden glove and promotion via the playoffs.
Crewe Alexandra’s Micky Demetriou makes the cut for the second year in a row. The experienced 35-year-old was once again a pillar of strength at the back for Lee Bell’s side, racking up 37 appearances in all competitions.
Taylor Allen caught the eye of PFA members after an impressive 57 appearances in all competitions for Walsall. Allen scored 11 goals with eight assists and now plays his football at Wycombe Wanderers after a summer move.
Grimsby left-back Denver Hume is on the list after an impressive 12 assists in 45 league games. He joined League Two side Fleetwood Town at the end of the season.
Jack Payne makes up the midfield after the Colchester United talisman stood out to our members. The 30-year-old found the back of the net nine times and assisted a further 11.
Golden boot winner Michael Cheek finishes off the list. It was the Bromley striker’s first full season in the EFL, and the 33-year-old scored an outstanding 25 league goals.
