Austrian Christoph Klarer deservedly makes the cut after a rock-solid season at the back that included 43 league appearances. Another representative from Chris Davies’ defensive line is Alex Cochrane. The 25-year-old had an excellent year at left back, clocking up 54 appearances in his debut EFL season.
The Blues’ midfield pairing of Tomoki Iwata and Paik Seung-Ho have both made it into the top 11. Japanese international Iwata shone in the middle of the park, contributing six goals in 40 league appearances. Seung-Ho is voted in after making 50 appearances in all competitions over the course of the South Korean’s first full season at St Andrews. Striker Jay Stansfield rounds up the Birmingham City representatives. The talismanic 22-year-old provided 23 goals in all competitions, including four braces.
Golden boot winner Charlie Kelman cements his spot in the player-voted 11 after topping the scoring charts with 21 league goals for Leyton Orient. His rich vein of form in front of goal saw him rewarded with a move to Charlton Athletic at the season’s end.
Play-off winner Lloyd Jones completes the back four after a season of dominant displays at centre-back for Charlton Athletic. The 29-year-old clocked up 42 appearances in all competitions.
EFL trophy winners Peterborough United have Kwame Poku on the list after his most prolific season to date. An impressive 12 goals and eight assists led to an end of season move to Championship side QPR.
