Top Six | PFA League Two Player of the Year

Players have voted for their standout performers from the League Two 2023/24 campaign, with nominees set to be honoured on 20 August at this year’s PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester.

The Top Six shortlist for PFA League Two Player of the Year includes Macaulay Langstaff, whose outstanding season for Notts County saw him finish as the EFL’s top scorer with 28 goals.

His teammate Jodi Jones also finds himself shortlisted by the PFA membership after producing a record-breaking 24 assists from midfield, surpassing records previously held by Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry.

League Champions Stockport County have their striker Paddy Madden in the running who scored crucial goals to help his side top the table. His season tally of 22 goals in all competitions included a stellar four hat-tricks.

Wrexham’s striker Paul Mullin has also secured a Top Six spot. The 29-year-old dispatched 24 goals to help his side secure promotion to League One at first attempt, including 14 in the final 13 games of the season.

Fellow Red Elliott Lee is also in the running for PFA League Two Player of the Year after the midfielder bagged 16 goals and six assists over the season. It was Lee’s opener that helped the Reds on their way to a promotion-sealing 6-0 win over Forest Green in May.

Mansfield Town’s Davis Keillor-Dunn scored 22 times from midfield this season and his performance lands him a spot in the Top Six. The Scot also recorded 10 assists for Nigel Clough’s team as they secured a return to League One.
