Three of Stockport County’s title-winning side named in the PFA’s League Two Team of the Year.
The Hatters secured promotion to League One in the 2023-24 season, aided by goalkeeper and golden glove winner Ben Hinchliffe’s impressive 17 clean sheets. The shot stopper finds himself in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.
Stockport’s Fraser Horsfall and Ibou Touray also feature having played a large part in the side’s impressive defensive record last season.
League runners-up Wrexham have two representatives in the Team of the Year in Elliott Lee and Paul Mullin. The pair scored 40 goals between them over the course of the season, and both featured in the Top Six shortlist for PFA League Two Player of the Year.
Mansfield Town took the last promotion spot in the 23/24 campaign and two of their players get the nod from PFA members. The experienced Aden Flint was integral at the back for Nigel Clough’s side, whilst Davis Keillor-Dunn appears in the Team of the Year for the first time after scoring 22 goals from midfield.
Notts County have three players named in the player-voted top 11, including Macaulay Longstaff who scored 28 goals over the campaign; more than any other player in the EFL. Jodi Jones produced a record-breaking 24 assists in his second season at Meadow Lane, while Daniel Crowley also takes a place after scoring 16 goals from midfield.
Mickey Demetriou of Crewe Alexandra completes the team, after the 34-year-old scored 10 goals in 55 games from defence for Lee Bell’s side.
