Four of Portsmouth’s title-winning stars named in the PFA League One Team of the Year.
Will Norris, goalkeeper for league-winners Portsmouth, secures his place in the PFA League One Team of the Year after keeping 19 clean sheets in 46 appearances. He’s joined by teammate Conor Shaughnessy, who was solid in Pompey’s backline. The Irishman appeared 49 times and scored the winning goal in a tie against Barnsley that saw Pompey crowned league champions.
Also featured is Portsmouth captain Marlon Pack whose leadership and experience helped guide the side to promotion. Joining him is forward Colby Bishop who netted 20, including three braces, and features alongside Pack in the PFA League One Player of the Year Top Six shortlist.
Derby County’s 22-year-old youth product Eiran Cashin also secures a place in the Team of the Year after featuring in a defence that conceded the fewest goals in the league.
Bolton’s Ricardo Santos gets the nod after another influential campaign at the back. This marks the third year in a row he has been named in the PFA League One Team of the Year. Midfielder Josh Sheehan is also named after being named Bolton’s Player of the Year and providing 12 assists for the Trotters.
Two players feature from EFL Trophy winners Peterborough United. Ronnie Edwards had an outstanding campaign at centre back for The Posh, while Ephron Mason-Clark also excelled for Darren Ferguson’s side, recording an impressive 19 goals in all competitions.
Cameron Brannagan appears in League One Team of the Year for the third time in his career. He makes up the midfield after the 28-year-old was promoted via the playoffs with Oxford United.
Alfie May completes the 11 after finishing the season as the league’s top scorer with 27 goals for Charlton.
