  • Grace Clinton, Tottenham Hotspur
  • Lauren James, Chelsea
  • Khiara Keating, Manchester City
  • Maya Le Tissier, Manchester United
  • Jess Park, Manchester City

Players have voted for their standout performers from the WSL 2023/24 campaign, with nominees set to be honoured on 20 August at this year’s PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester.

Chelsea’s Lauren James is going for back-to-back Young Player of the Year titles after winning the award in the 2022/23 season. The playmaker scored 13 goals in 16 games on her way to claiming her third WSL title with the Blues.

James’ teammate Agnes Beever-Jones joins her in the Top Six with 11 goals in her breakout season for Chelsea. A brace in the 8-0 win over Bristol City on the final day of the season saw her side claim the title over City on goal difference.

Manchester United’s Maya Le Tissier bags a nomination from her peers after a stellar season in red. The defender played every league game for United and helped her side keep a clean sheet in a 4-0 FA Cup Final win over Spurs.

The light blue side of Manchester has two players in contention for PFA Young Player of the Year. City’s 20-year-old goalkeeper Khiara Keating won the golden glove after keeping nine clean sheets and conceding the fewest goals in the league. She’s joined by teammate Jess Park whose attacking ability made her a key cog in Gareth Taylor’s team and their title run-in with Chelsea.

Finally, Grace Clinton features in the Top Six after a standout season on loan for Tottenham Hotspur from Manchester United. The versatile midfielder bagged four goals and four assists over the season and has been recognised as a deserving nominee by her league peers.
