PFA AWARDS 2023

PFA Young Player of the Year Nominees

PFA Young Player of the Year nominees

The nominees for the PFA Young Player of the Year are some of the brightest prospects in the game.

Starting with Lauren Hemp, who is bidding to win the award for a fourth season in a row and what would be five times overall. The Manchester City forward notched 10 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

Hemp’s England team-mate Lauren James has been a breakout star of the Lionesses’ World Cup campaign, but she was just as important for Chelsea’s success last season. This is James’ third nomination for the award.

Maya Le Tissier was a standout for Manchester United at the back following her move from Brighton and Hove Albion. She has been nominated for the second season in a row. Missy Bo Kearns excelled for Liverpool, playing 28 games and contributing five goals and two assists.

Laura Blindkilde earned her first nomination for her impressive term for Aston Villa. Katie Robinson enhanced her reputation after starring for Brighton with four goals and six assists in the WSL, earning a call-up for the Lionesses World Cup squad in the process.

Watch our social feeds where we’ll announce the winners of both prizes at the PFA 50th Awards ceremony on August 29th.
