We're Hiring! Senior Designer

PFA Junior Creative

SENIOR DESIGNER

  • Position Type: Full time.
  • Salary: £35-40k (plus benefits) dependent on experience.
  • Location: Flexible. We operate a hybrid working model with offices in Manchester, London and St George's Park. We would expect the postholder to mix home working with office-based work, including attendance at regular team meetings and occasional travel to their non-regular office bases.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The PFA is currently expanding its communications team and is recruiting a Senior Designer.

We are looking for someone whose creative ideas and outputs will help us engage with a diverse range of audiences including PFA members, football fans and wider stakeholders in the sports industry.

This is an important role within the PFA’s team and one which will include a range of responsibilities and workstreams. Crucially, you will be someone with the technical abilities and demonstrable project management skills to execute a wide range of work, often to tight deadlines, in what is a fast-paced environment.

The role would suit someone with a range of creative and design experience, and who is as comfortable leading on the production of an eye-catching video for hundreds of thousands of social media followers as they are producing a print brochure or internal presentation.

This is a senior role where you will work across the organisation. It would suit someone with proven experience of working on similar projects and at similar scale, either in-house or in an agency role.

The Senior Designer role will involve two main strands of work:

Communications

Reporting to the Head of Communications and working closely with other members of the communications team – including the PFA’s Social Media Manager - you will take a lead in developing and creating content to be used across the PFA's online and social channels.

This will include the production and editing of social images and videos and ensuring that the PFA’s outputs have a consistent brand and ‘feel’ in line with our communications objectives.

You will need to have proven experience with editing high quality videos and content for online/social media.

Business Services

You will also support the creation of content and materials from across the business, such as presentations, campaign emails, reports, brochures and video projects. These will be for both internal and external use.

This will involve ensuring consistent branding, providing and building easy-to-use templates for staff, and creating and managing a system through which staff can submit projects/briefs for support.

HOW TO APPLY?

To apply, please email an up-to-date CV and a short covering letter (which sets out your motivation for the role and highlights your relevant experience) to: recruitment@thepfa.com. Please use the subject heading ‘Application for Senior Designer role’

It would also help us if you can provide any examples of your work which illustrate your experience working on the kinds of creative outputs set out above.

The closing date for applications is 19th August 2022.
