Cristiano Ronaldo reaches 700 club goals landmark

Cristiano Ronaldo

Congratulations to Cristiano Ronaldo, who has reached another milestone in his record-breaking career by scoring his 700th club goal in Manchester United's 2-1 win over Everton.

37-year-old Ronaldo reached his latest landmark twenty years and two days after scoring his first-ever club goal for Sporting Lisbon in 2002.

His latest goal extended his overall total at Manchester United to 144, having scored 26 since he returned for his second spell at Old Trafford last season.

It was during his nine years at La Liga giants Real Madrid that he was most prolific, scoring an incredible 450 goals.

After departing Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018, the five-time Ballon D'Or winner went on to score 101 goals for the Turin side.

Sunday's match-winning strike at Goodison Park was Ronaldo’s second goal of the season.

He has also scored 117 international goals for Portugal.
