Football legends Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Kenny Dalglish and Gareth Southgate are joined by Jürgen Klopp for Team Talk with Legends – Live.
On Friday 15th January, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, will be joining Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Kenny Dalglish and England manager Gareth Southgate for Team Talk with Legends – Live, a unique evening of football chat and banter with some of the game’s greatest names.
On the eve of Liverpool’s blockbuster against fierce rivals Manchester United, four of the game’s greatest managers sit down to discuss the past, the present and the future of the beautiful game. And it’s all in a great cause, to raise funds for Alzheimer’s research and support footballers’ families with financial difficulties due to the disease.
Fans are invited to join Team Talk with Legends - Live in their own homes in a live, streamed fund-raiser as they discuss all matters football and answer ticket holders’ own questions.
Whether it be the touchline encounters in Liverpool-Manchester United games, who the rising stars are in the England squad ahead of the Euros, VAR, inside stories or just trips down the lane of great memories, it will be a fascinating evening with four legends of the game.
The LMA event will be presented by top sports presenter, Kelly Cates.
On joining Team Talk with Legends – Live, Klopp said: “I’m only too delighted to play my part in raising money for such an important cause. I don’t take time out before such a big match for nothing but with Sir Kenny, Sir Alex and Gareth it’s bound to be a special evening and one I’m looking forward to. I hope football fans everywhere will support us and enjoy a great evening of football chat.”
Former sports tv executive Trevor East, who came up with the idea for the fundraiser, said: “We can only thank Jurgen for his marvellous gesture, taking time out ahead of such an important game. To have such an illustrious line up talking about the game in their own homes has got to be a first and something not to be missed by fans everywhere.”

Money raised will support The Alzheimer’s Society’s Sport United Against Dementia, a ground-breaking funding and awareness campaign that aims to spearhead change in the industry and find positive solutions for past and present sportspeople, their families and fans. Funds raised will support pioneering research to transform our understanding of the causes of dementia, bringing hope to future generations. Funds will also help Alzheimer’s Society reach more sportspeople affected by dementia through the Charity’s vital Dementia Connect support service, ensuring that sportspeople affected by dementia get the very best support, including being referred to Alzheimer’s Society right at the point of diagnosis.
Also, the League Managers Association’s In The Game charity will benefit and LMA members and their families who are suffering the effects of dementia. The LMA represents and provides support to all managers past and present from the Premier League, Championship, Leagues 1 and 2 and the FA Women’s Super League and Championship.
