The PFA is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of former Manchester City youth team player Jeremy Wisten, aged just 17.
Wisten, who played as a centre-back, played at Altrincham Juniors and De La Salle before joining City in 2006 and playing for their Elite Development squad. A club statement on Sunday evening said: " The Manchester City family are saddened to learn of the passing of former Academy player Jeremy Wisten.
"We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time."
On Sunday afternoon, City players Cole Palmer and Tommy Doyle posted tributes to Wisten: "You will be forever missed. Fly High my brother rest in paradise!"
Fellow former Manchester City youth team player Tyrhys Dolan also posted a heartfelt tribute on Twitter: " The pain is indescribable I can’t believe I’m writing this message, I can’t Thank you enough for giving me the best times of my life. Always been a brother to me and I will carry on your legacy forever! RIP bro see you on the other side."
