Derby County's Duane Holmes

A man has been arrested over an alleged racist tweet directed at Derby County's Duane Holmes after Nottingham Forest reported a supporter to the police.

Nottinghamshire Police are questioning a 29-year-old on "suspicion of racially aggravated harassment".

Nottingham Forest have suspended the person they reported from attending matches, pending the outcome of any enquiries.

In a statement, The Reds added that the club would "take further action against the individual when the outcome of the police enquiries and the criminal process is known". In addition, they committed to taking "robust steps" against anyone who tries to help the supporter breach their ban.
