New O’s players, Conor Wilkinson and Lee Angol, visited 60 young people taking in the Leyton Orient Trust Football Camp.
The football camp, which is part of the free Waltham Forest Summer holiday activity programme, sees local youngsters take part in football games and skills sessions led by Leyton Orient Trust coaches at the SCORE Centre.
The young people met the players and had the opportunity to ask them anything – which included questions about Leyton Orient, the team, what it’s like to be a professional footballer and their career before joining the O’s. Afterwards Conor and Lee met with participants studying towards their Level 1 Sports Leaders UK Qualification.
James Court, Lead Development Coach, Leyton Orient Trust said: “A huge thanks to Conor and Lee for taking time to come over and to meet with the young people and answer their questions. They are both a credit to the Club. It’s great we have this link that gives the young people the opportunity to meet professional footballers and ask questions about their life and career.”
