The PFA is deeply saddened by the passing of former Blackburn Rovers and QPR player Mike Ferguson, aged 76.
Ferguson, who was born in Burnley, began his career with Plymouth Argyle before moving to Accrington Stanley in 1960.
He played in a variety of positions throughout his career.
In 1962 he moved to Blackburn Rovers where he made 220 appearances over six seasons for the North West club.
He went on to play for Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers, Cambridge United, Rochdale and Halifax Town, and in the North American Soccer League for the Los Angeles Aztecs.
Ferguson enjoyed a brief spell in management, including managing Rochdale between 1977 and 1978.
The thoughts and condolences of everyone at the PFA are with Mike’s family and friends.
