Chesterfield have revealed that the squad number '14' has been retired indefinitely in honour of striker, Jack Lester.
Lester announced his retirement at the end of last season following 196 appearances and 83 goals in six years for the club.
It was his goal scoring ability that gave Lester his legendary status among Spireites, in 2009 Lester set a club record in becoming the first striker at the club to score 20 goals in consecutive seasons for 82 years.
He had previously played for Grimsby, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United before going on to captain Chesterfield.
