A cut above ...
It is not only former players who contact the PFA for assistance with funding for courses. Brentford midfielder Sam Saunders took an Introduction to Barbering course after buying a stake in a hairdressing shop with his sister.
Sam says: “Because I’ve got a stake in the shop I wanted to know more about the industry, as I wanted to know what I’m talking about. I’d like to stay in football when I finish playing but it’s important to put things in place in case I don’t. I’d like to do other courses.”
