The PFA commends the action taken by Kick It Out in response to the online racist abuse directed towards Raheem Sterling of Manchester City on social media and share their condemnation of the language and hateful nature of the posts towards the player and his young family.
Whilst racism and discrimination is monitored on-field and in stadiums the PFA would like to see penalties and more stringent sanctions for racist abuse such as that which Raheem Sterling, and many others receive on social media sites.
