Commercial Executive
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
  • Position Type: Full time
  • Location: The PFA has facilities and offices in Manchester and London. We are flexible in terms of where the ‘home’ office will be.
  • Salary: Competitive remuneration package
  • The PFA is currently looking for a Commercial Executive who will be responsible for supporting the development of The PFA’s commercial operation.  
The role will also provide general support to the Chief Operating Officer & Commercial Directors and other stakeholders as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • PFA Commercial Partners – Develop new Commercial Partners/sponsors - Project manage existing and new partners - marketing and social media content to our members building on the internal working relationship with our Digital Communications dept; 
  • PFA Event Management – Develop and execute Player/club/PLO’s/Gatekeepers/Commercial Partners – organising and operating a calendar of events to help increase and improve PFA Brand awareness;
  • PFA Fans’ Player of The Month – assist with account managing the various aspects of these Awards - working with sponsors/PR/ media and clubs to increase awareness of the Awards 
  • Support Management in various tasks – data analysis, research tasks, meeting preparation, decks and proposals. 
  • Directly manage the commercial department’s corporate sales effort, with responsibility of the management of key assets
  • To understand the business needs, quantify and prioritise key items and establish a roadmap.
  • Ability to think through commercial and operational opportunities and challenges with creativity
  • Proven understanding of the commercial landscape within the sports and entertainment sectors
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 
 
Essential
  • Experience of account management and partnership rights delivery.
  • Ability to manage partner requests to ensure continued health of the partnership.
  • Experience in Partnerships / Account Management or Sports Marketing.
  • Demonstrable experience building excellent working relationships and dealing with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Experienced in developing and delivering against key partnership KPIs.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to seek solutions and create opportunities.
  • Demonstrable ability to work and deliver under pressure.
  • Excellent organisation, communications, time management skills and collaboration skills;
  • Values & respects others, builds strong relationships, collaborates
  • Ability to manage multi-faceted deliverables
  • Experience in developing and delivering campaign strategy
Desirable
  • Experience of working in a commercial role in the sports industry or sports marketing agency.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills.
  • To bring new and innovative thinking and ideas to the Commercial Department
  • Commercial awareness, ability to plan and implement a commercial strategy, proactive with ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Language skills
  • Experience in commercial contracts involving rights negotiation and delivery.
  • Adapts quickly to new opportunities, new challenges and changing priorities
