As the FA Women’s Super League kicks off the second part of its season two organisations totally committed to supporting the competition are set to formally work together.

The Professional Footballers' Association has teamed-up with She Kicks as the 'Official Women’s Football Media Partners' for the PFA. She Kicks is a bi-monthly print magazine, online community and agency for women's football.

The PFA has long been supporters of the women’s game first offering membership to Fulham LFC, the first professional women’s team in 2000 and supporting England's national players since 2008. In 2013 full membership was extended to all WSL1 players offering parity to the men’s membership. In line with the development of the women’s game 2013 saw the inaugural PFA Women’s Players’ Player Award followed in 2014 with the addition of PFA Women’s Young Player and PFA WSL1 Team of the Year.

We have worked closely establishing centralised contracts with the Football Association and have included this guidance for Women’s Super League Playing contracts. We are committed to the continued development of the women’s game and work closely with the WSL, FA and the players to ensure that players rights are at the centre of all negotiations.

We are delighted that Casey Stoney (England & Arsenal) was voted onto the PFA's Management Committee last season, ensuring representation from the women’s game within the highest structures of the Professional Footballers' Association.

She Kicks has been sharing information and promoting women's football across an array of mediums to players, fans, coaches, journalists and more, since the launch of their first title (On the Ball) in 1996.

Both parties share the same aims of raising the profile and the commercial worth of the women's game and its players, as well as protecting the integrity of the sport and individuals, as it blossoms. And so, it is hoped, that the synergy of efforts and expertise will reap positive results.

Editor of She Kicks, Jen O'Neill said: "The PFA and its membership are at the vanguard of encouraging acceptance and improved support for the women's game. Footballers see other footballers as fellow players, whether they are male or female. This is the best kind of player power.

"Having worked with Matthew Buck and his team in PFA Player Management, I know they feel as passionate as we do at She Kicks, about ensuring female players are recognised and rewarded for their many considerable merits and that the women's game as a whole, continues to grow sustainably, towards achieving its massive potential.

"We at She Kicks are proud to be working alongside The PFA in showcasing the players, personalities and forward thinking, open minded sponsors that will help the game reach its goals."
