PFA Women's Young Player of the Year nominee: Alex Greenwood (Everton Ladies).
Alex may be a Liverpool fan at heart but she is a true blue when it comes to performances on the field for the club she has represented for 12 years.
Having joined the Centre of Excellence at the age of eight, the talented defender has risen through the Everton ranks and is now a key player for both club and country.
After impressing at all levels, Alex made her senior debut during the qualifying tournament for the 2010-11 Champions League. Not a bad place to start.
She became a first team regular during the 2012 WSL campaign and, having represented England at all levels she is now a full international after making her debut at the Cyprus Cup earlier in the year.
Alex had previously had a ten minute run-out as a sub against Italy, but her full debut wasn’t long coming as she starred in a 3-0 win against Finland, creating one goal and going close to scoring herself.
After her first full appearance for her country, an excited Alex said: “When you come off the bench as a sub it all seems to be over in a flash, but starting was great and I loved every minute”.
She is sure to be part of the England senior side moving forward, and she will have a big role to play for Everton this season.
