PFA Women's Players' Player of the Year nominee: Kim Little (Seattle Reign, formerly Arsenal Ladies).

Kim Little may have departed to pastures new in the United States since the end of the last Women’s Super League season but her contribution to the development of the game in this country will serve as a lasting legacy.

An outstanding player and prolific goalscorer from her advanced midfield position, former Arsenal midfielder

Kim already has a place in football history having been named the first ever PFA Women’s Player of the Year at our annual awards ceremony 12 months ago.

Scottish international Kim carried her fine form of the previous season into the latest WSL campaign and, despite Arsenal losing out to Liverpool in the championship race, she once again confirmed her place amongst the top flight’s elite.

Still only 22 and with an exciting career ahead of her, Little helped the Gunners win four league titles, three FA Cups and four League Cups after joining from Scottish side Hibernian six years ago, and general manager Vic Akers was keen to pay tribute to one of the club’s greats.

“Kim is an outstanding player,” said Akers. “We always believed she could be a world class talent. I’m pleased to say that’s just what she’s become”.

Kim, who has already accumulated more than 90 caps for Scotland, says of her move to the US Women’s National League: “I will miss Arsenal, of course, but I am really excited about this next challenge in my career. It is a nice feeling to know that of all the players in Europe they picked me.

"I enjoyed so much success with the Gunners and one of my proudest moments, in addition to all the trophies we won, was picking up the first PFA Women’s Player of the Year trophy”.
