The PFA would like to pay tribute to former member Paul Ware who has sadly passed away after a battle with illness.
Paul had an excellent career as a professional footballer, starting his playing days at local club Stoke City as well as playing for Stockport County, Cardiff City, Macclesfield Town and Rochdale.
In total Paul made 233 senior appearances scoring 21 goals from his midfield position.
Paul’s finest moment was arguably his winning goal for Stoke City against Peterborough United in the area final of the Football League Trophy.
Paul also helped Stoke to promotion in the 1992/1993 season making 35 appearances.
The PFA has lost a valued member of the union and our thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends.
