After enjoying a playing career that included Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, Jon-Paul Pittman was keen to move into coaching and having worked hard to earn a place on the Premier League, the EFL and the PFA Charity’s new Professional Player to Coach Scheme, the 34-year-old is taking the first step to realising his ambition at Exeter City.

The new Professional Player to Coach Scheme, which is aimed at increasing the number of Black and Asian players who transition into full-time coaching roles in the professional game, has begun its rollout.
