The PFA in partnership with Simms Counselling are running a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills exclusively for members.
This qualification is intended for candidates who have already acquired a recognised qualification in counselling skills and want to:
- take the next step in training to become a counsellor
- learn more about counselling theory, ethics and mental health
- be prepared for work as a professional counsellor in an agency setting
This qualification does not lead to employment. It is designed as a pre-practitioner training for professional counselling qualifications but it could also lead to employment in a related field.
Venue: Online / up to 4 sessions in London (PFA London 7-8 Philpot Lane London EC3M 8AA)
Dates: Start date: Wednesday 12 October 2022 - (delivered weekly – approximately 30 weeks)
Time: 6-9 PM
Students will also need to allocate additional time to write up weekly learning reviews. There will also be some self-facilitated work, which students are expected to complete within the lesson time. In addition, students are required to undertake reflective work, which will include reflecting on thoughts and feelings - therefore, students will need to have a willingness to explore self.
You must have undertaken counselling skills training, e.g. Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills or equivalent units/qualifications of at least 75 Guided Learning Hours.
