About St. James’s Place Academy
For many, being involved in professional football is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream and the result of a lot of hard-work and dedication. However, a career in football is often short and it’s important to consider what life looks like when it ends.
The St. James’s Place Academy offers a two-year career-change programme that’s ideal for achievement-driven individuals with a professional sports background. We appreciate that the very characteristics that took you to the top of your game are the same traits required to succeed in our industry. We’ve been successful in helping many former sports professionals to move into a solid career in wealth management.
The programme begins with six months of classroom-based learning, followed by a period of mentored training in the field. As you progress through the programme, you’ll be encouraged to build your own client base and earn money as you train. Once qualified, you can look forward to building a powerful, uncapped income that rewards your hard work and results.
Most of our candidates are entering the financial sector and often an office environment for the first time and most have not been in a classroom for years. That’s why our trainers provide high-quality, ongoing support from day one.
The first few weeks of the programme will give you a full introduction to wealth management and equip you with the study skills you need for the course. All our candidates are moving into brand new territory, so there’s a real sense of camaraderie as everyone transitions to the Academy environment.
