In this latest episode of PFATV, guest presenter former Manchester United and England U19 goalkeeper Jonny Sutherland heads to St. George’s Park to speak to members of the England team ahead of the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 tournament.

Steph Houghton, Casey Stoney and Karen Bardsley talk about the rise of the women’s game, the continued support of the PFA, and the Lionesses chances at the Euro’s.

“I’m a strong believer that the PFA are really changing the women’s game,” defender Casey Stoney said.

The PFA have also been supporting goalkeeper Karen Bardsley with her degree.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for the PFA,” she said. “They have helped me start my masters of sports directorship degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. “I don’t think I could’ve done it without the assistance of the PFA.”

Captain Steph Houghton, a member on the PFA Management Committee, told us of the importance of the PFA to the women’s game.

“They’ve played a massive role not just in my career but in women’s football in this country.”

After coming in third place in the World Cup in 2015 in Canada, the Lionesses are one of the favourites in this years tournament.

England’s first game is against Scotland on the 19th July in Utrecht, Holland. You can watch the game live on Channel 4, 7:45pm!
