Former Fulham, QPR and Bradford City defender Zesh Rehman has agreed a two-year deal with Malaysian Super League team Pahang FA. Pahang FA recently won the Malaysian Super League Cup and play their home games at the Darulmakmur Stadium which has a capacity of 68,000.
The Pakistan International Captain will be leaving Kitchee SC, Hong Kong after a successful two years that has seen him win the domestic championship, League Cup, FA Cup as well being part of the historic AFC Cup run which saw Kitchee SC reach the last-eight of the competition.
Rehman said: “I have to say a special thank you to everyone at Kitchee including the fans, players and management staff for leaving me and my family with very special memories of my time in East Asia.
“Everyone made me feel welcome from the very first moment I arrived and I loved every moment there”.

“In my two years at Kitchee I played over 60 games winning four trophies and leading the team during its most successful run in the AFC Cup where we reached the last 8.
“I leave the team sitting healthy at the top of the league coming to the second half of the season and I will be keeping a close eye on proceedings in the near future and beyond.
“I just feel the time is right in my career for a new challenge.
“There is huge passion and love for football in Malaysia and I’m looking forward to the season kicking-off”.

“Zesh has contributed hugely to Kitchee’s success over the last 2 years and he will be truly missed.
“His experience has provided the much-needed stability at the back and his friendliness with everyone in the team also helped to create a good team spirit.
“We congratulate him on his new move to Malaysia and wish him every success for the future.”
The team manager of Pahang FA Zainal Abidin Hassan said: “We are delighted Zesh has chosen to come to Pahang ahead of several other teams.
“Zesh brings with him vast experience, leadership and a winning mentality which is exactly what we are looking for.
“We hope he can use his international and AFC Cup experiences to help us step up a level domestically and regionally.
“His professionalism and presence will be an asset to our squad and I’m sure the younger players will learn a lot from him”.
Rehman will be accompanied at Pahang FA by his former QPR centre-half partner Damian Stewart and the both are expected to prove a stern test for teams in the league. Pahang FA will open their season against 2013 Malaysian Super League Champions LionsXII, with the match also serving as the Charity Shield fixture.
