Jenny Wood, Trainee Accountant.
Jenny has worked in the Finance department at the PFA for over ten years. During this time she has gained valuable knowledge of the interaction of each PFA department and appreciates the valuable service that those departments provide to its members.
Since joining the association in 2002, Jenny has studied to enhance both her own knowledge and benefit the PFA by completing the Association of Accounting Technician qualification before working through her CIMA studies (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). Jenny's current role is Trainee Accountant and reports directly to the Director of Finance. Jenny also manages Tracey Parkinson in her role within the department.
Jenny is responsible for the smooth functioning of the day to day processes within the department. Jenny's role encompasses all aspects of Bookkeeping, Nominal Ledger Administration, Invoicing Customers and Chasing Overdue Accounts, Debtor and Creditor Control and Reporting, Sales and Purchase Ledger Reconciliation, Reconciliation of Inter - Company Accounts, Treasury Reconciliation, Completion of Statutory VAT Returns, Reconciliation of Bank Accounts and Liaising with the Bank, Maintenance of Computerised Accounting Package, Implementing MIS System, Cash Flow Management, Designing Bespoke Reports and Compilation of Internal Monthly and Year End Audit Schedules.
Jenny also assists the Director of Finance in producing management accounts through Journal Posting, Accruals and Prepayments, Profit and Loss Analysis, Balance Sheet Analysis and Fixed Asset Management. More recently, Jenny has assisted the Director of Finance with Budget Preparation, Forecast and Variance Analysis.
Jenny also prepares the management accounts for the Professional Players' Federation.
