We at the PFA know that players worry about making the transition from being a full-time player to undertaking new challenges in the next stage of your life.
As part of our ongoing support to members, the PFA in partnership with UK Seminars are running a specialised programme covering the whole business of identifying second career options and unlocking untapped potential.
The seminar is held at the stunning Belfry Golf and Leisure Centre with all programme and accommodation costs paid for by the PFA.
Ugo Ehiogu attended a transition seminar after he retired from professional football, and he felt that the seminar was a huge help towards his next step on his career path, stating:
"I would 100% recommend it, especially if you're coming towards the end of your football career because it's such an eye-opener. It does give you a little bit more confidence and a bit more balance to get you ready for the next stage."
How will it help me?
The programme will help you to:
- Identify the type of work you'd be good at.
- Compile a CV that will impress potential employers.
- Write letters of application.
- Prepare for the interview.
Crucially the people who guide you through the seminar will be there afterwards to support you as you explore the options which interest you.
Making The Transition 2013 is run in conjunction with UK SEMINARS an organisation with over twenty years experience of helping people plan their next career move!
- Venue: The Belfry Golf and Leisure Complex, West Midlands.
- Dates: Sunday 9th/Monday 10th June 2013
Places are strictly limited so don’t delay, take that crucial first step!
